DEEP MUD GENERAL RULES

As President of the Dirty Dawg Mud Racing I would like to apologize for any inconvience the revision may cause or have caused. I hope the changes for type o’s and omissions will clarify these rules and make them easier to use. I hope I will see more of you at the events.

1. All vehicles must pass a Tech inspection for the class they are racing in, to receive a registration form.
2. All drivers and passengers must wear Seatbelts. One passenger per vehicle. Proper eye protection required for all open cab vehicles. Helmets required for classes 4,5&6.
3. Drivers not using caution while driving their vehicles during staging or exiting may be warned or disqualified at the track official’s discretion.
4. Time will start upon forward motion of the vehicle. No backing up.
5. If your forward movement stops before your 1 minute runs out you will have a 5 second count to move forward again. If you do not move forward you will be stopped and measured at that spot. No sitting and digging holes.
6. No tire chains are allowed in any class.
7. Vehicles must not have any loose objects in the cab or bed.
8. Nitrous oxide lines must be disconnected from the bottle if running a class that it is not allowed. All nitrous vehicles must have a 1/4 turn valve within the driver’s reach.
9. Rear tow hooks are mandatory on all vehicles and must be secured to the frame. Front hooks are recommended.
10. A driver may make 1 pass per class, per vehicle in any 2 different classes; you can change to larger tires to run additional classes. Subject to track operators discretion.
11. A driver may drive only 1 vehicle per class.
12. If you are not present at the time of drawing, your position will be drawn for you.
13. Course boundaries are marked by stakes or markers and anyone passing or hitting these will be out of bounds with distance measured or disqualified at track official’s discretion.
14. All distances will be measured as close as possible using the front hub.
15. No alcohol/drugs. If a driver is observed consuming before he/she runs, they will not be allowed to race and your entrance fee will not be refunded.
16. Running vehicles must not be left unattended.
17. Set back rule: you have 2 minutes to get to the line. If you are unable to, you can have the vehicle following you go and then you will be the next driver.
18. Vehicles must have adequate working brakes and must be able to stop at all times. Tech men will check and have final say.
19. Drive shaft loops recommended for all classes but is mandatory in classes (4, 5, 6) no chain loops.
20. Manual and automatic transmissions must have a neutral safety switch.
21. All vehicles must have an ignition kill switch within driver’s reach when belted in. Class 4, 5, & 6 master Kill switch recommended on rear of the vehicle.
22. Vehicles battery must be well secured and not in driver’s compartment. Unless enclosed in a battery case.
23. All open and soft-top vehicles must have a roll bar. All vehicles with modified bodies must have a 6 point roll cage.
24. All tire sizes will be determined by sidewall print.
25. All exhaust must point up or rearward.
26. A set of markers or cones will be placed in the shut down area of each mud pit, all vehicles must stop by these markers so as to help provide a safe racing environment and create equality for all racers. This distance shall be 30’ or approx. 2 vehicle lengths; anyone passing these shall be disqualified.
27. There will be zero tolerance for hostile complaints and or temper outburst by anyone. You either came to Bitch or came to race and have a good time. We only accept the latter. Testing this rule may result in ejection from the event. First offense results in lose of half of the members points, second offense members points terminated for remainder of season.
REGISTRATION FEE : $10.00 FOR CLASS 1, 2, & 3 , and $15.00 FOR CLASS 4, 5, & 6 .
Can not be refunded after the class starts.
MEMBERSHIP FEE : $20.00 PER MEMBER ANNUALLY

Second Place 80 POINTS
Third Place 60 POINTS
Fourth Place 40 POINTS
Fifth Place 20 POINTS
Measured Distance 10 POINTS

DEEP MUD CLASS RULES
CLASS 1: 4 & 6 CAL:
Any size D.O.T. tires, no nitrous, no blowers, or after market tubos, no cut tires, no skimmers.
CLASS 2 :
(4,6,8,10 CYLINDER, 6 & 8 CYLINDER DIESEL)
D.O.T. tires up to 34”, no cut tires, no skimmers, no aftermarket turbos, blowers or nitrous allowed.
CLASS 3 :
Any D.O.T. up to 38.5” must be same OD front and rear. no nitrous, no blowers and no turbos, no cut tires, no skimmers. 1/2 size difference on tire size will be allowed. examples 36.5” with 37” or 38” with 38.15”.
CLASS 4 :
D.O.T. tires up to 44” only, must be same OD front and rear, no after market turbos, blowers or nitrous allowed. No skimmers, no cut tires. 1/2 size difference on tire size will be allowed. Examples 38 with 38.5 or 39.5 with 40”.
CLASS 5 SKIMMERS:
Skimmer definition: A vehicle with skin body and is built to be light weight. So as to allow the vehicle to run on top of the mud rather than in the mud, must use D.O.T, cut D.O.T., scoop or paddles tires, no tractor tires allowed. This class will run a shortened track length so as to limit top speed and to allow extra stopping distance. The class will run at the start of the day at the track operator’s discretion. No full body vehicles will be allowed in this class.
CLASS 6 :
After market tubos, blowers, nitrous allowed. Any size D.O.T., cut D.O.T., military or tractor tires allowed, no scoop or paddle tires allowed. No Skimmers.
